The Challenge
For a number of years the Mercedes-Benz dealership in Milton Keynes has suffered from poor mobile phone signal on their corporate network, EE. This is down to a combination of the design of the dealership, materials used and the relatively weak external EE signal.
With mobile devices now becoming a central part of the sales process, this was affecting business operations. For example, mobile devices are being used for social distancing measures and capturing customer consent.
The Solution
Following a detailed survey and consultation period the Boost Pro technical team designed a solution suitable for the dealership, with a passive distributed antenna system (DAS) deployed throughout the building.
Due to the weak external signal, highly directional antennas were installed in order to maximise the donor signal and three internal dome antennas were strategically installed throughout the dealership.

This also future proofs the business for the use of emerging mobile technologies as part of the sales process e.g. augmented reality.
